Is switching to a VPS worth the extra maintenance?

My WordPress site is growing, and I’m considering either a managed WordPress plan or a small VPS. I’m comfortable with Linux, but I don’t want server maintenance to become another part-time job.

I found hostpro.com while looking at VPS options, and the pricing seems worth comparing with what I currently pay for hosting.

For a site with roughly 2,000 daily visitors, would you go with a VPS around $20/month or stick with managed hosting? I’m interested in the practical difference, especially when it comes to troubleshooting performance issues.
