Shared hosting for multiple WP sites: will there be enough resources?

I have two WordPress sites (one corporate, the other a blog). I'm thinking of hosting them on shared hosting, but I'm concerned about speed and security. Does it make sense to get separate hosting for each, or can I safely put both on one account? I've heard that some providers (such as hostpro.com) allow you to easily separate sites by subdomains and databases, but will there be any problems in the future?

  • Running multiple WordPress sites on shared hosting really depends on how heavy your sites are and how much traffic they get. For a few lightweight blogs, shared hosting might work fine, but if you’re using a lot of plugins or expecting growth, resources can run out quickly. I faced this issue earlier and eventually moved to a plan with more optimized WordPress hosting from HostCrafter.com, which gave me better stability and faster load times. Sometimes upgrading early saves you a lot of future headaches.
